WOW -- More Networking

CCWF Networking meeting - February 1, 2006 - 5:30 - 7PM. CCWF hosts an Open House Women's Networking meeting at Jitter's Coffeehouse, 1273 Queen Street in Southington, CT, RT. 10. For direction http://www.mapquest.com. The cost is $5.00 and includes coffee or tea and desserts. No reservation required. This is an informal meeting, meet and greet members and potential members. We will meet twice a month on Wednesday. Dates will be posted 2 weeks in advance so you can invite others who might be interested in CCWF. MAKING WOMEN VISIBLE DAY --- February 16, 2006
A symposium on women’s issues will be held at the state Capitol 9:30am-12:30pm. The PCSW (Permanent Commission on the Status of Women) is sponsoring this event. The co-sponsors are the National Association of Women Business Owners-CT chapter, MicroEnterprise Resource Group and the Connecticut Women’s Health Campaign.

Big news - We, CCWF, were on the front page of the Meriden-Record Journal newspaper!! The article highlighted our presence on the radio and we are now also podcasted on the Web site of 990am WXCT. Area Wide - News Release:

Central Connecticut Women's Forum (CCWF) made its radio debut on WXCT, AM 990, in December with a one-hour talk show. CCWF's format is intended to foster discussions concerning issues affecting women in small business and corporate life. Charlie Profit, General Manager of WXCT, envisions listener participation during the question and answer portion of the show. Members of CCWF can be heard every Tuesday morning from 8:00 9:00 AM. CCWF is an organization that provides professional and business women with networking and resource opportunities. Members come from many of the towns in Central Connecticut.
