Shirley Bloethe
Shirley Bloethe has been a member of CCWF for 15 years. She graduated from Hartford College for Women's Entrepreneurial Course in November 1987. She is the owner, celebrating its 16th year, of Pass-It-On Sports & Fitness and Jitters Coffeehouse, both located at 1273 Queen Street in Southington, CT. She also owns Harbor Park Boat Rentals in Middletown, CT, now in its fourth year. She is the former owner of The Fifty's Diner in Kensington. Prior to this, she was Director of the Newington Senior Centers Lunch program. She is the mother of three grown children. She is the former Public Outreach Co-coordinator for a support group in the local area, and the recipient of an award by the SBA. She has spoken for women's events and state sponsored SBA self-employment workshops. Shirley also works with other CCWF members in promoting prepaid legal insurance for the entire family for pennies a day with Pre-Paid Legal Plans. Shirley has "green" and energy saving products available at both the coffeehouse and store for home and business use. Jane Beddall is the founder and owner of Dovetail Resolutions, LLC, which provides mediation services for business and family wealth conflicts. Jane has been an attorney and a mediator for many years, and completed her first mediation training course soon after she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, in 1984, with a J.D., cum laude, and a M.A. in Public Policy Analysis. Dovetail Resolutions is dedicated to helping people achieve peace of mind through mediation, a voluntary and confidential process. Jean Dunning and Karen Gumkowski are co-owners of JK Designs, Distinctive Cards that Connect, established in 2004.
JK Designs creates original mixed media greeting cards, invitations, announcements and gift tags in their Cromwell, CT studio. They have expanded their line to include corporate greetings for all occasions, geared specifically to help businesses connect with their customers. Jean and Karen’s attention to detail is evidenced in the unique embellishments that decorate each card. They enjoy helping people celebrate life’s moments through their greeting cards. Each handcrafted card is designed and produced in their Cromwell studio.
Meeting new faces in the business community is an integral part of their evolving business. They are members of the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce and the Micro Business Council, Co-Chairpersons of MERG, Micro Enterprise Resource Group, have attended Business Network International, and have spoken to civic groups such as Hartford Civitans.

Margaret L. Groth, CPA founded BackOffice Solutions, LLC in 2003. Knowing that new entrepreneurs are very good at what they do but often get bogged down by paperwork, recordkeeping, and tax compliance, she works with them to improve existing systems or implement new ones that deliver efficient, accurate, and timely results. Peg is also a Certified QucikBooks ProAdvisor who has worked with QuickBooks since 1999, including U.S., Canadian, and Asian versions. She provides one-on-one training to business owners as well as hands-on training in the classroom. In addition to bookkeeping services, Margaret also provides accounting, tax, and business consulting services to individuals and successful small business owners. Having worked as a bookkeeper after high school and for many years in a family business, she went on to earn a B.S. in Accounting from Quinnipiac University, and received her public accounting certification in 1990. Peg is a member of CT Society of CPAs, Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce, and Central CT Women’s Forum. Peg serves on the board of United Way of Meriden-Wallingford, Inc. and is Treasurer of Micro Enterprise Resource Group, Inc. Wendy Morrison

Cynthia Nemeth is the owner of Nemeth Appraisals, LLC, located in East Granby, CT. She is licensed in Connecticut and Massachusetts as  a Certified General Appraiser.  Cindy has been in the appraising and assessing field since 1980, starting her own business in 1993. What separates Cindy from her competition is paying attention to detail, spending the time with the customer, and thoroughly researching the market for the best available information. Diane is entering her 3rd year as a member of CCWF, attending the Northern CT Chapter meetings in East Windsor.
Diane attended the Woodland School of Insurance in Hartford, CT and the Aetna Insurance School. She has been in the insurance business for over 26 years and serves on her town's insurance board in Ellington. Diane is a commercial/business insurance sales person working for the firm of Ferguson & McGuire since 1998. F&M offices are located in East Hartford, Wallingford, Branford, Durham, Shelton, New Canaan, Ridgefield, Kensington, and Marlborough.
Diane lives with her husband, John Riel, in Ellington, CT. Diane enjoys the sport of motorcycling and rides a Harley Davidson Road King Motorcycle. She has a grown daughter living in Sacramento, CA.

Claudia Rucci

Ginny Roy 

Ginny Roy is a Property & Casualty Agent with The Elliott Insurance Group. After a few years in the banking industry she was employed by The Kane Insurance Agency, Plantsville, CT, obtaining experience in all lines of insurance and customer service. In 1978 Ginny obtained a professional designation, CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor),which requires ongoing continuing education in the insurance field. Being with the Agency for 20+ years she has seen many changes and has been able to advance from customer service to sales.
