WEB MASTER Currently maintained by Shirley Bloethe CCWF Position Descriptions (revised-6/2007)PRESIDENT (elect 1) - Be the executive officer of the Central Connecticut Women’s Forum and preside at all Steering Committee meetings, the Annual Meeting, and Special Membership meetings. Be the official spokesperson for the Central Connecticut Women’s Forum. Execute contracts and other instruments authorized by the Steering Committee. Assume the responsibilities of a resigning officer until a replacement is appointed or elected. Be an ex officio member of all committees without a vote. TREASURER (elect 1) - Be responsible for all financial records and for the accounting of all monies collected and disbursed. Render a treasurer’s report at each Steering Committee meeting and an annual financial statement to the membership. Understand and be responsible for the Forum’s compliance with all state and federal laws concerning finances, including provision of required financial reports, to the CT Treasurer and Secretary of the State, including the filing of a Federal Income Tax Return. Recommend the annual budget and dues to the Steering Committee. Identify and pursue all sources of income including fundraising, contributions, and all other appropriate sources, as necessary. Be an ex officio member of the Finance Committee with a vote. VICE PRESIDENT PUBLICITY/MARKETING (elect 1) - Establish publicity guidelines and coordinate all publicity, including press releases, posters, and fliers. Provide Forum information upon request from the media. Coordinate all CCWF publications including the newsletter, program booklet, etc. WEBMASTER (elect 1) – Maintain and update CCWF website as needed. VICE PRESIDENT (elect Central & North) - The Central Chapter Vice President will succeed to the office of the President in the event of a vacancy. The North Chapter VP would succeed the Central Chapter VP in the event the Central Chapter VP can no longer serve. The Central Chapter position of VP supercedes the North Chapter or any subsequent new chapters that may arise as the membership needs grow. Assist the President in carrying out functions of the Forum. . Provide the community with a means for identifying and contacting members for business and civic involvement. Be an ex officio member of all committees without a vote. VICE PRESIDENT MEMBERSHIP (elect Central & North) - Be actively involved in the solicitation of candidates for membership to ensure the healthy continuation of the Forum. Send a guest welcome letter or email to each new guest. Send a member welcome letter or email to each new member who joins. Review, assess, and recommend changes in membership criteria. Be an ex officio member of the Membership Committee with a vote. VICE PRESIDENT PROGRAMS AND ISSUES (elect Central & North) - Choose meeting topics and schedule speakers for monthly Forum meetings. Develop meeting and workshop ideas, responding to needs of the membership. Develop a list of meeting places. Coordinate seminars around topics of interest and concern to the members. Maintain a list of speakers and topics which may be utilized by the Forum. Be an ex officio member of the Programs and Issues Committee with a vote. VICE PRESIDENT HOSPITALITY (elect Central & North) - Provide hospitality for speakers and new members. Greet speaker, guests and new members at their first meeting. Introduce speaker, guests and new members to other members during the networking time prior to dinner. Address any questions from speaker, guests and new members to appropriate person or committee members. Send a thank you card to the speaker each month. Be an ex officio member of the Programs and Issues Committee with a vote. SECRETARY (elect Central & North) - Take minutes at Steering Committee and Annual Membership meetings. Be an ex officio member of the Public Relations Committee with a vote. |
